Helping hands are not always helpful

Ever used a set of helping hands that keep tilting/falling over when you apply small pressure when soldering? My set has a magnify glass that doesn’t work too well so I removed it. Thought that would help it from being top-heavy but I was wrong. Easiest solution to help the helping hands is to use a C-Clamp.

Just mount the helping hands to the edge of your work station and you’re good to go.

Another great idea since the helping hands are now stationary I can take the mounting hardware that goes to the magnifier and attach a LED to added light. Hmmm, maybe I can use that old laptop USB light
